 CRCA's new Roofing Specifications manual has been extensively revised to reflect the roofing industry today. It is double the size of its predecessor issues in 1997. CRCA is offering both the manual and a fully searchable CD. An exhaustive list of commonly found roofing assemblies are included in the manual. It includes both low slope and steep slope roofing. Bituminous built-up roofing, mod-bit, EPDM, PVC and TPO membranes are profiled in the manual. Where appropriate, separate specifications are included on insulated and uninsulated assemblies, protected membrane roofs and adhered, mechanically fastened and ballasted assemblies. A hot rubberrized roofing specification is also included in this comprehensive document.
CANADIAN ROOFING REFERENCE MANUAL
Canada's roofing industry identified the need for a core national roofing training and upgrading manual to provide the theoretical and technical information required to perform the tasks set out in the National Training Standards for both apprentices and journeypersons. Research and development of the manual took place from 1995 to 1999.
The 678-page manual is divided into four separate books. The manual serves as a ready reference for use on the job site and to supplement other information that roofers require to do their jobs safely, effectively and efficiently. The manual will be useful not only for journeypersons and apprentices, but also to other groups central to roofing - from architects and engineers to specifiers and building owners.
CRCA TECHNICAL BULLETINS
Fifty-seven (57) technical bulletins and 7 Advisory bulletins are currently issued. Holders of the complete set of Technical Bulletins and/or the CRCA Specification Manual will receive additional issues at no extra cost.
